Finishing Helper
The Finishing Helper will assist with the daily operations of the Bindery Department. Ensuring that job tickets meet quality and production standards and assisting in any finishing task are completed.
We are hiring for the 1st and 2nd shift.
Duties / Responsibilities:
• Maintain quality and production standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to operate multiple machines simultaneously effectively and efficiently.
• Continually monitor quality of finished product per established QC guidelines.
• Ensure work area is free of hazards and clean of debris.
• Follows all required safety procedures and communicates all concerns regarding safety to department manager.
• Complete paperwork to assure proper job counts along with job track ability.
• Involve Department Supervisor and/or Department Manager anytime concerns exist relative to quality, schedules, delays, etc.
• Read and understand the Job “Work Order” for instructions and specifications specific to the manufacturing of a job. Produce all jobs according to the specifications and instructions within the Work Order.
• Work with other departments to ensure on-going improvement of production methods and productivity.
• Work with other departments to ensure job schedules are maintained and customer expectations are exceeded.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Must have the necessary machine skills to effectively and efficiently operate all Finishing Equipment.
• Quality conscious and detail oriented.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and conduct tasks to meet instructions.
Education and Experience:
• High school/GED diploma is required.
• Warehouse experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods standing at workstation operating machinery.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
